I was surprisingly moved and inspired when listening to President Obama’s speech introducing his Supreme Court nominee Merrick Garland earlier today.

His public service bi partisan-ness –

He worked for George Bush (thank fully not George W Bush – that would be hard to get over.

And then Obama said Merrick Garland is a Harvard Law graduate.

Oh look here! Another white guy.

Of course it brought to mind Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s quote when she was talking with Diane Sawyer a few years back.

Diane asked, “Well, how many women do you think should sit on the Supreme Court?”

RBG: I think there should be 9 women.

Well, why not, there were 9 men at one point.
